Leeds officials have sent for a personal look at the Brazilian star who wants to move

Leeds United officials have been tasked with assessing the attacking star ahead of the summer transfer window.

Ruthless Leeds aim to strike again

Surviving one season in the Premier League is a tough question. Surviving for a moment is even more difficult. Leeds have done well to put themselves in a position to avoid relegation in their first campaign back in the top flight, but they will be well aware of how quickly things can change.

Dump before Piroe: Farke must sell £40m Leeds flop

Leeds United must be ruthless if they are to avoid relegation this season and that should see one star on the exit door.

If the 49ers want to ensure Leeds become a Premier League fixture, they should invest in Daniel Farke this summer.

The German, himself, is already in bad form this season and could show the door to struggling stars like Joel Piroe to find room for the right addition.

Even after solving his attacking problem with Dominic Calvert-Lewin last summer, the Yorkshiremen are still willing to welcome more firepower in the form of Zan Vipotnik.

The Swansea City man has been superb in the Championship this season – scoring 22 goals in all competitions – and is set for a move up to the Premier League.

Well, he’s not the only Championship star the Whites have set their sights on ahead of the summer transfer window. Scienza would also be a wonderful addition.

Leeds officials personally check on Scienza

According to Felipe Silva of ESPN, Leeds officials checked Scienza in person before leaving in the summer. The Southampton star, who recently stole the show in the FA Cup quarter-final against Arsenal, is open to the Premier League and could be on his way to Yorkshire.

It’s easy to see why those at Elland Road love the attacking midfielder.

Coventry City manager Frank Lampard even called the Brazilian “outstanding” in December, telling reporters: “He was very dangerous the whole game because he can get out of the way. He can go inside and shoot. He is the best player in his league.”

Compared to Brenden Aaronson, who plays in the same role, Scienza has been significantly reduced this season. The Brazilian was involved in double the number of goals in the league, created almost twice as many chances and enjoyed the best scoring success.

Any argument the Leeds target isn’t ready to make it on the big stage was also laid to rest against Arsenal. The Premier League champions-elect came knocking and Scienza responded emphatically.

He is a wanted man ahead of the summer transfer window and Leeds should do everything to secure his signature in front of several rivals.
