Liverpool launch Vinícius Júnior bid as Real Madrid star stalls contract talks

For several years, Liverpool watched as Real Madrid swooped in to get their top scorer or some of their best players at a bargain price.
Iraima Konate became the latest Anfield star to be lured to the Bernabeu at the end of the last campaign and that happened one year after Trent Alexander-Arnold.
So it’s time for Liverpool to get their revenge on Vinicius Junior. The Brazilian midfielder is out of contract in 2027 and could be the best replacement for Yan Diomande at the Reds.

Why Vinicius Jr can transform Liverpool |

Serial winner |
As the new era arrives at Anfield, they are undoubtedly missing players who have been there and done it for several years, especially without Mohamed Salah. Vinicius Jr can add a winner’s swagger back to that offense. The Brazilian player has won everything for Real Madrid, and even put Liverpool to the sword in the Champions League final. |

Upgrade to Yan Diomande |
Liverpool have been on the hunt for a direct winger all summer. That’s why they submitted a bid worth around £85m to sign Diomande from RB Leipzig, only for the German club to reject the offer. If Vinicius Jr is the next option they turn to, though, that rejection will be a blessing in disguise. The Brazilian is at a very high level. |

Modification of the Ultimate Salah |
The Real Madrid star replacing Liverpool’s dynasty would feel right. Salah will not be replaced by any player. Vinicius Jr is a big game player, as the Reds have seen first hand, as he is at the peak of his power at 26 years old. |
It hasn’t been the easiest summer for the Reds, but ending their hunt for a winger with the arrival of Vinicius Jr will make their recent struggles worthwhile.
Liverpool have handed Vinicius Junior a huge promotion offer
According to Spanish journalist Ramon Alvarez de Mon, Liverpool have approached the deal to sign Vinicius Jr, asking for further information about the Brazilian.
The impressive striker is yet to sign a new contract at Real Madrid and has even left the negotiations at the moment, his representatives see no reason to discuss a new contract when the two sides are so far apart.
Alvarez de Mon told his YouTube channel that Liverpool have responded positively to the players’ camp contact and are likely to plan a free transfer in 2027.
“Vinicius’ people, naturally, have to do their job … to find out what the position would be for other clubs that might sign Vinicius, either in 2026 or 2027.
“Mostly we are talking about Premier League teams. In those first questions, there was one club that clearly answered their interest in Vinicius, but the numbers worked in 2027. That team is Liverpool.”
Hailed as “one of the best players in the world” by Carlo Ancelotti, Vinicius Jr is the man to turn Liverpool back into title contenders and European champions.
