Aston Villa in talks to sign £50m star as Chelsea close in on Morgan Rogers
Aston Villa have made a move to sign West Ham United star Crysencio Summerville, while Morgan Rogers looks set to join Chelsea.
Summerville could be in line to leave West Ham this summer, if the Championship side can get a £50m bid in, after being one of the shining lights at a poor team last season.
Indeed, the Hammers were relegated from the Premier League, but the Dutchman has been able to do some impressive things, scoring nine goals in 31 games, before he played well in the World Cup.
The Netherlands also did not play well, being eliminated by Morocco in the round of 32, but the player who has won West Ham managed to collect two goals and two assists in four games.
After describing the 24-year-old as “unstoppable last season”, Nuno may be reluctant to lose Summerville, but Villa are now ramping up their pursuit.

According to the Daily Mail, Aston Villa have now been linked with the West Ham star, who is also attracting interest from Serie A side AS Roma.
In fact, Roma have already had a £35m bid rejected, but he is expected to return, meaning Villa may have to move quickly if they are to win the race for his signature.
Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson is another option, with the Senegal international available for transfer this summer, after spending the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Bayern Munich.

How Chelsea won the Morgan Rogers race
Chelsea have reportedly agreed a £117m deal for Rogers, who was also attracting interest from Arsenal, and David Ornstein said Xabi Alonso played a big part.
The deal is now being finalized, with England’s doctor due to be examined on Monday, increasing the need for Unai Emery’s side to find another striker on the doorstep.
As previously noted, Jackson performed well during his Bundesliga call-up last season, with a goals-against average of 0.72 per 90 which placed him second in the squad, behind only Harry Kane.
Emery is known to be a fan of Jackson, since they worked together at Villarreal, with the Spaniard saying: “We worked during one year on his ability, he developed his understanding better, how to use his power. And playing minutes and getting information was the next step.
“But his attitude was very good. He was always learning. He always wanted to train more, to focus. He was also professional every day except for training sessions at home because he focused on football as the first thing in his life.”
