Julian Brandt will represent one of the best players Leeds have tried in recent years.

He added that the German and his camp are currently considering all options before deciding on the next step in his career, with Elland Road being strongly considered.
Smyth also revealed that Brandt’s father, Jürgen, visited Thorp Arch this week to speak to Leeds.
However, he insisted this did not mean a deal was imminent, pointing out that Brandt’s father also appeared to hold talks with Real Betis earlier in the summer before the Spanish club decided not to pursue a deal.
The review suggests Leeds are staying tight in the race rather than leading it.
