Arsenal reportedly have a medical and a contract lined up for Christos Tzolis after the player rejected further advances to join the Gunners.
According to Fabrizio Romano, everything looks set for the Greek international to join Arsenal from Club Brugge in a €40 million deal.
This sounds like it was an excellent deal for Arsenal, as Brugge were firm in their asking price for Tzolis, and the north London giants were fully prepared to pay it, according to Romano in his latest post on his YouTube channel.

Tzolis impressed during his time in Belgium, and it looks like Arsenal fans can now look forward to the 24-year-old’s arrival.
Romano also made it clear that Arsenal are not done yet.

“Tzolis is the new player of Arsenal, and we are here. The deal was done with a deal of 40 million euros,” said Romano.
“This is the transfer fee that Arsenal will pay to Club Brugge. Actually, there was no negotiation because the asking price was always 40 million euros. Brugge did not want to negotiate that, and Arsenal decided to pay the required amount.
“And because two clubs, one in Italy, one in Germany, two weeks ago, three tried to enter into an agreement, and tried to understand if Arsenal was too slow for Tzolis to get a player.

“But the final decision the player made was clear – the player told all these clubs, “I’m sorry, thank you, but I want to go to Arsenal. Only Arsenal. ” And now the deal is in place. Tzolis will sign a long contract in the coming days. The medical examination and the signing of the contract are also booked, so the new player of Mikel Arteta, Christos Solis from Club Brugge.
“But, Arsenal are not finished at all. Arsenal will be busy and busy.”
Romano went on to say that the AFC can look at their central defenders as they wait to find out how bad William Saliba’s injury is, and it also looks like they will sign other new players in the midfield department.
What Arsenal can expect from Christos Tzolis
Tzolis looks like a good player to replace Leandro Trossard, who recently left the Emirates Stadium to move to Besiktas.
It remains to be seen whether the Greek winger can play that regularly, but he looks like a solid and reliable team player who can contribute a good number of goals and assists from outside.

Tzolis was a huge asset at Brugge, and while English football will undoubtedly be a big step for him, if he can continue to improve under Mikel Arteta, all the ingredients seem to be in place for him to have a great career.
Arsenal fans will no doubt be interested to hear that a number of other clubs were also interested in Tzolis, but he hit the nail on the head with his selection.
