Jude Bellingham had no criticism of England manager Thomas Tuchel and was dismissed during his post-match interview.
Although Bellingham scored twice to salvage a 2-1 extra-time victory against Norway in the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Cup, Tuchel publicly criticized his side’s performance, calling it “sloppy” and “lucky.”
Hearing these words, the England midfielder seemed to widen his eyes, mumbled “whatever,” and began to fiercely defend his players.

Bellingham didn’t hold back when asked about his manager’s tough test, suggesting the German coach was put off by the harsh physical realities.
The game was played in Miami’s oppressive heat and humidity, with kickoff temperatures reaching 33°C (92°F).
“Maybe he doesn’t really know what it’s like to play in those conditions against Erling Haaland, Martin Odegaard,” replied Bellingham (via BBC MOTD). “That’s not an easy team to play against.”
The Real Madrid star emphasized that the squad worked hard to create a good atmosphere for the tournament and urged the camp to maintain it.
“You’re not going to win every game by making 1,000 passes,” Bellingham added. “Sometimes you have to win dirty. We did that tonight.”

Thomas Tuchel and Jude Bellingham’s relationship has often been under the spotlight
