Tottenham are in talks to match Aston Villa’s bid for Croatia star Martin Baturina
Como have now placed a huge asking price for Martin Baturina, who has attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Bayern Munich.
Tottenham are looking to add an attacking midfielder to their ranks, after making big statements by completing deals for Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali.
Tonali became the latest signing for Roberto De Zerbi’s side on Monday, but with the Italian being oft-used, he managed just two assists in the Premier League last season, meaning Spurs are still desperate to sign a new number 10.

According to a report from 24 Sata (via Sport Witness), Tottenham are now holding talks to sign Baturina, overtaking Aston Villa, who have already made an offer.
Villa and Bayern Munich remain interested, but the Lilywhites are now trying to win the race for the Croatian, who has been hired for €80m (£68m) by his current employers.
Why Como has set a huge asking price for Martin Baturina
Unsurprisingly, Como scout Mattinson has been vocal about the Swiss-born striker’s playmaking abilities, as he created 62 chances in Serie A last season, nine more than any Tottenham player managed in the Premier League.
De Zerbi is well-known for his attacking style of play, which means the Como star could be a good fit, given that he has won an average of 1.0 times in the final third in 90, more than any other member of the team, and shows a real desire to push forward.
This Croatian star who has played 23 games has also put himself in the shop window where he is playing in the World Cup, scoring a goal in the first game against England 4-2.
Tottenham are in desperate need of signing a new attacking midfielder, with Simons out for a foreseeable future, and Baturina could be a very exciting option.
