West Ham United are now targeting Everton star Dwight McNeil, and Sky Sports have released an update on when a move could start.
The Hammers may have to sign a new striker this summer, with Crysencio Summerville’s future in doubt, with the Dutchman keen to sign for Manchester United.
Summerville have told their representatives they want to join the Premier League giants, while Jarrod Bowen is also likely to leave, having held direct talks with Everton boss David Moyes.
Losing the duo would be a huge blow for Nuno, given that they were involved in a combined 29 of the Irons’ 46 Premier League goals last season.

According to a report from Sky Sports, West Ham are interested in signing McNeil, but they do not plan to make an immediate move.
Nuno still needs to discuss the Hammers’ transfer plans with new director of player recruitment Nils Koppen, with those discussions to decide whether the Rochdale-born midfielder is fit.
Dwight McNeil could be West Ham’s side at Championship level
The Everton defender probably wouldn’t have been the best player of all time, especially at a time when West Ham could lose to Summerville, who went through the World Cup with the Netherlands, coming in with two goals and two assists in four games.
However, McNeil, who shares the same agent as Aaron Wan-Bissaka, has been proven for several years in the Premier League, scoring four goals and eight assists in 21 games for the Toffees in the 2024-25 season, suggesting he should be more than capable of thriving at Championship level.
Journalist Joe Thomas has even praised his West Ham target as “magic”, and despite his attacking qualities, he has the ability to win the ball back, doing so in the third place on average 0.9 times out of 90 in the Premier League last season, the highest figure for David Moyes’ team.
