Tottenham are sending officials to battle Man Utd in the big race for Brobbey

After avoiding relegation on the final day of last season, Tottenham Hotspur naturally wasted no time before starting their summer business.
Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi quickly arrived as free agents, and Jan Paul van Hecke has joined them in a £52m deal. But the Spurs didn’t finish there.
They know full well that rebuilding their side in Roberto De Zerbi’s vision will take a lot of resources this summer, and, to put it bluntly, the drop was very close to the ugly truth last season.
With the backline bolstered by three impressive names, the focus is now on the rest of the squad. The next name at the front door could be Sandro Tonali.
Spurs have already seen their £75m offer knocked back by Newcastle United, but that may not stop them from returning with a bid close to £100m for the Magpies.

Spurs have quickly cleared the blocks in the summer transfer window and are chasing another deal.
Although competition in other areas makes things difficult for the Lilywhites, Tonali is not the only name they can steal from under the noses of their Premier League rivals. The North Londoners are also looking for a goalscorer in the World Cup.

Tottenham are fighting Man Utd for the Premier League title
Besides Tonali, there is also interest in another Premier League star. According to TeamTalk, Tottenham have sent club officials to join the race for Brian Brobbey.
The Sunderland star will be a man in demand following an excellent campaign in England and excellent World Cup performances so far.
If Tottenham want to sign the Dutchman, they will have to avoid competition from Manchester United, who are hoping to land a striker to back up Benjamin Sesko.
The Red Devils are determined to do their business early, themselves. They have already agreed a deal to sign Ederson from Atalanta and already have West Ham United’s Mateus Fernandes in their sights.
Now joining the race for Brobbey, it seems INEOS are keen to continue their recent trend of signing players from other Premier League sides this summer.
Praised for his “powerful” performance against Newcastle by Sky Sports presenter Dave Jones last season, Brobbey is fit and on top form.
For Tottenham, he could be the cherry on top of what has already been a good summer of recruitment in North London.
