Arsenal are in talks to sign a new “excellent” target with Berta ready to offer
Arsenal’s summer transfer window has taken another turn with ongoing talks to sign another player.
The club also continues to invest heavily in the next generation of talent, and that was further highlighted by their pursuit of Leicester City youngster Jeremy Monga.
The highly-rated youngster is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in English football, with Arsenal moving quickly to secure his signature after submitting an opening bid.
However, it is reported that the first proposal was rejected as the negotiations are still ongoing.

The setback hasn’t changed Arsenal’s wider approach.
If anything, it has strengthened the determination within the club to identify quality young players before their numbers explode.

Arsenal will submit a ‘formal bid’ for the £35m star who is ‘very keen’ to join behind Jeremy Monga.
They already have an offer on the table for the Leicester City star.
The recruitment department has spent years building a network designed to spot emerging talent across Europe and beyond, and that work now seems to have led them to another exciting prospect.
According to a BBC report, Arsenal are in talks over a deal for Georgian wonderkid Andrea Bartishvili.
Arsenal are in talks with Andrea Bartishvili over a pre-contract offer
The youngster is attracting increasing attention and Arsenal have moved quickly to put themselves at the front of the line.
The BBC’s Sami Mokbel reports that talks are ongoing over a pre-contract, and Arsenal will soon offer the 17-year-old amid interest from Juventus and other clubs.
Bartishvili may not yet be a household name among Premier League fans, but within scouting circles, his reputation has been steadily growing.
The Georgian is regarded as one of the most promising players to emerge from his country in recent years, and those who have followed his development believe he has the technical quality and football intelligence needed to succeed at the highest level.
Bartishvili came out of the same Dinamo Tbilisi academy that produced PSG star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, whom talent scout Jacek Kulig called a ‘good and exciting talent’.
The attacking midfielder has been linked with Kvaratskhelia and is already playing for Georgia’s Under-21 side after a spell with the country’s national team.
That dynamic has understandably caught Arsenal’s attention, but according to Mokbel, they are not the only ones in the race for his signature and may need to move quickly.
