Liverpool are already ‘working’ to end Diomande’s deal after Munoz

After hijacking Newcastle United’s move to sign Victor Munoz, Liverpool are wasting no time before trying to complete their second marquee signing of the summer.
While the rest of England watched as Thomas Tuchel’s men took on Croatia, Liverpool were busy stealing some headlines of their own. And again, it was because of Newcastle United’s injuries.

The Reds will be able to enter…
In the 12 months since the Reds stole Hugo Ekitike from under their noses before compounding their woes with the big-money signing of Alexander Isak, Anfield officials have managed to get one from the Magpies again.
Those at St James’ Park will no longer see in the eyes of Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes, who opened Munoz’s Osasuna release clause at the request of new manager Andoni Iraola.
The young Spaniard is direct, quick and assertive in and out of possession. He’s a good fit for Iraola, even if his output still needs work, and he’ll add depth to his new side.
Munoz’s arrival could be a sign of things to come on Merseyside, with Anfield officials already working on a second signing of the summer following the Osasuna man.

Liverpool are already ‘working’ on a second major deal
Edwards and Hughes may have kidnapped Munoz out of nowhere, but the other motive is an open secret.
According to Ben Jacobs, Liverpool are now “working” on completing a deal to sign RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande and could land the Ivory Coast midfielder in time for the World Cup.
This competition did not stop the pursuit of Munoz, who is about to be tested in America, and Diomande may do the same. The youngster is impressive and interesting from Paris Saint-Germain, highlighting how he is rated across Europe.
It won’t be a cheap deal, either. Previous reports claimed that Leipzig wanted around £86m to sell Diomande this summer. Based on last year’s spending, however, that shouldn’t be a problem for Liverpool.
“He is a left midfielder with amazing speed, he can dribble, he runs very fast and he can finish. He also does not give up the ball and works for the team.” – Leipzig managing director Marcel Schäfer
If Munoz starts at Anfield this summer, then Diomande is the main subject. After such a disappointing campaign last season, Liverpool are looking like a team with a lot of work to do.
